the new autumn/ winter collection is just druel worthy lets face it. no expense spared at the show and it turned out to be true beyond measure. Whatever you want next season, you can have it. When it comes to sex, that is. French maids, men in uniform, women in uniform, S&M, little girls playing grown-up games, blind folds, bondage, crystal handcuffs – whatever takes your fancy, it’s all on offer for the right price – and the show closed with Kate moss smoking a post-coital fag on her way around a glossy black catwalk. Who knows what Marc Jacobs will have paid for her, but who cares – he’s the Mr Moneybags of fashion.

Let’s start with them: block-heeled Mary Janes, side-zipped platform heeled rubber wellies in red or green; huge LV-stamped bucket bags, smaller clutches of cream patent, shoulder bags in teddy bear fur, classic vintage hand held ones, wide patent obi belts, the aforementioned blindfolds – all of which were then printed in sequins onto high-waisted, full-skirted dresses with Peter Pan collars, subversive innocence personified.

3. Thomas Penfound

BOY IS A BABE. One of my favourite male models just cause he's an awesome blonde!

2. I can sing a rainbow-Jil Sander

so continuing my count of 10 i shall move on. This spot just had to go to Jil Sander, aka Raf Simons the apostle of minimalism, who just made my fashion year with the spring/summer 2011 collection. It made me scream like a queer at a cher tribute ! Lets face it its simple, chic, summery and the silhouette is outta this world.
The collection is just picture postcard beauty, it reminded me of the 1940/50 s photographer Erwin Blumenfeld. Also the Jackson Pollock film Pollock , and the women he has an affair within the film, has that beauty, despite her looks, shes a bad influence, so theres a darkness to her aswell.

The collection is characterized by a stunning line up of contrasting silhouettes. There was a series of XXL skirts with unadorned , attached T shirts while leggy pants were half hidden beneath masculine overcoats and parkas. Equally masterful was his vast dressed weightlessly patterned with stripes or huge blossoms. Simons's audacious use of colour took on a jaw-dropping dimension, where blocked blues, greens, pinks, oranges, yellows and whites set a tone of absolute elegance pure and simplistic  !

Lets start with menswear.....

Since recently all that's been going through my mind is menswear, cause of uni and well just my basic shopping habits.
1. has anyone else noticed the new 'Man Waist' . Well there's something afoot in the world of mens bodies. The focus has shifted. Downwards. Not too far, mind. Just far enough. The collective gaze has turned to the waist. It was there on the runway, starting in Milan, with Calvin Klein. Out came some hot boys in what id like to refer to as urban sportswear. Shorts and tops in various techno fabrics. but what really caught my attention was the length of the tops. They were cropped!

The sudden lack of fabric covering made us sit up straighter and take notice. The waists on show were magnificent. Who knew a glimpse of midriff could feel so fresh ?
